On Thursday, September 30, 2004, the Norwich & Norfolk Terrier Club (NNTC) is hosting the first All Terrier Indoor Combined Specialty Obedience Trial at the Kimberton Fire Company Fairgrounds in Kimberton, PA. This is the same site as the All Terrier Agility Trials that take place the week before Montgomery County Kennel Club's show which is being held on October 3rd this year.
Following Montgomery, the National Earthdog Trials will be held at Village Green Farm in nearby Crosswicks, NJ
The obedience trial will be held indoors at the fairgrounds with H. Edward Whitney doing the judging. Ed is a well-known obedience judge and he has a particular affinity for terriers, having trained several Kerry Blues to advanced titles. For more information on this event, visit the NNTC Trial Website at http://www.norwich-norfolk.org or contact Trial Chair Pam Lorenzen at star@netins.net or Trial Secretary Carlynn Ricks at carlynricks@earthlink.net.
Now, with obedience, agility, earthdog, and conformation events all being offered, "Montgomery Weekend" has turned into "Terrier Week". There is truly something to offer for every Norfolk owner, no matter what your interest or your dog's level of expertise. In fact, if you have a dog that isn't quite ready for one of the performance events, volunteer to help out at one of the venues. It's a great way to learn about the various disciplines and it's fun!
