Our condolences to John Thacker, his wife Barbara and their children on the death of John's mother, Daphne Thacker, at the age of 91. John wrote, "If my mother could be remembered by other Norfolk breeders, it would be because she always maintained the breed standard and looked for that in her own puppies or when judging."
Many will remember that Mrs. Thacker's Ch. Daffran Dusty was a favorite of Joan Read's who, after judging him in England, brought him to start a Stateside stud career at Chidley.
John reflected, "My mother always spoke with joy of the time she spent on holiday in the USA and the blood line that was started by Dusty."
