Articles Index/Messages From The President
Revised 02/22/98
1998 is an election year for ANTA and in the spring, your Board of Directors will appoint a nominating committee to develop a slate of candidates. The Bylaws provide for turn over by limiting an individual to two consecutive terms in the same office.
The challenge is to find the best, able and willing from a far-flung membership where it is difficult for individual board members to know more than a few dozen well. For the most part this knowledge comes from interaction of the members at Norfolk events and at dog shows with significant Norfolk representation.
Our future lies in a broad base of dedicated members. We seek and want to encourage new blood in the "worker core" of the Club.
So, if you want to participate in the day-to-day activities of the Club, make yourself known. Come to our events and talk to Board members. Let us know of your interest. If you like working with your Norfolk(s), and you wouldn't be reading this if you didn't, you can find something enjoyable and satisfying to do in and for the Club.
Ed Plummer, ANTA President
ANTIC, June 1997
