Join us for a Fun Day Round Up on May 8, 9, 10 at Spring Cove Farm in Centreville, Maryland.  This is a jam-packed weekend filled with fun and games (literally) as well as great food and companionship.  This is a joint effort between ANTA and the NTC. Complete details are in the brochure, attached, and if you have any additional questions ANTA president Peggy Metcalf will be happy to answer them.

KICK-OFF to ANTA/NTC Fun Day Weekend
HEALTH Clinic at Spring Cove Farm Friday, May 8, 2015 9:00 am to 2:30 pm
On Friday, May 8th, from 9-2:30 with Dr. Mark Oyama. for animals 5 years and older that are normal. Only dogs that have not participated before are eligible.
Help support Norfolk Terrier Health and do Health testing on your dogs. We are again lucky to have Mark Oyama and the University of Pennsylvania coming to do an ultrasound clinic for our terriers at no charge to you. They are looking for 2 groups of animals: Normal defined as being 5 years and older with no heart murmur and a normal ultrasound. So if your dog has been previously found normal at this age we need these dogs most of all.  Abnormal group must have a heart murmur AND an abnormal ultrasound, indicating mitral valve disease.

The goal of this study is to get at least 50 individuals from each group and compare DNA samples to see if we can identify a genetic marker for this disease. Please contact Peggy Metcalf to sign up your dogs for this event. Remember this is totally free, provides great information for our breed and is relatively painless for our dogs.
