For puppies, nap time is important. This is Aberserschan Glory in the Snow soon after she made her trek North. Hmmm ... wonder what she was thinking.

Learning to walk on a leash ... what's this white stuff?

OK ... what's this thing on 'my' trail. I'm sure it wasn't there yesterday.

When you live up North, you have to check for things like bear and moose before bed. It's an important job ... somebody's got to do it.

Watching the waves on Thunder Bay. Hmmmm ... sounds like a song title. Where's Gordon Lightfoot when you need him.

They keep saying I've turned into 'the most beautiful girl.' Guess they must be right.

It’s A Brand New Year With THREE Great Events Planned … Join Us!

Git it!

It’s time to make those ANTA-oriented plans for 2012 … and it looks like we’ve got three great events in store for you.

On the 23^rd and 24^th of June we’ll be at Spring Cove Farm in Queenstown, Maryland.

All the details will be publicized in the March issue of ANTIC, but it’s safe to say this is always a fun-filled event, it’s a beautiful spot at a beautiful time of the year.

In July, it’s an ANTA fun day near Cortland, NY. The bonus? This is the weekend of the

Lure coursing is sooooooo exciting!

Finger Lakes Kennel Club’s earthdog trials in Newark Valley. If you have never had the opportunity to enter a ‘real’ earthdog event, this is your chance. There will be plenty of ANTA members entered and we’ll help out the newcomers. Consider entering “intro to quarry” if you think your Norfolk needs practice. There will be two tests to enter on Saturday (earthdog people are very laid back and helpful to newcomers) and then we’ll all attend the ANTA event on Sunday.

In October, we’ll be back in Walpole, Mass. for our annual Fall Festival. The dates are October 13 and 14. We had our first Fall Festival here in 2011 and it was a resounding success.

So don’t be shy. Join us at one, two, or all three 2012 ANTA events.

Now we have to fill it up! Send in your good quality photos as jpg attachments to an email. Ideally, the photos will be a large size (1000 pixils on the shortest side) and you’ll include pertinent information … identify the dogs and the photographer and tell us the circumstances of the shot. We’re looking for ‘home page’ photos … and don’t forget those brags!

ANTA’s Spring Fling will be held on June 23rd & 24th at Spring Cove Farm in Maryland. Whoopee … can’t wait. We are also holding a summer event in upstate New York on July 22nd … complete with AKC earthdog tests the same weekend … and of course the Fall Festival on the weekend of October 13 & 14. No matter what holidays you celebrate, or how you observe them, ANTA hopes everyone ends 2011 and starts the New Year healthy, happy, and surrounded by Norfolks and other furry friends.
