AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB DISASTER RELIEF FUND
Following the devastating acts of terrorism of September 11th, many have wondered what they could do either to support the search and rescue dogs or to provide relief for the pets of disaster victims. In response, the AKC has created a Disaster Relief Fund, now superceded by the AKC Companion Animal Recovery Corporation Canine Support and Relief Fund. Details may be found on the AKC web site at http://www.akc.org/dogny/index.cfm and at http://www.akc.org/news/hurricane_katrina.cfm.
